Position Summary
The Account Manager grows and maintains Average Daily Traffic (ADT) through executing/progressing a sales pipeline and growing key accounts. The Account Manager develops, partners, and maintains ongoing communications with companies to improve route optimization and bridge utilization as well as promote the use of UBP bridges, to reduce truck traffic on local roads in communities. Delivers tailored value propositions to core customer segments supporting ADT growth and reduces sales cycle time.

 
General Duties

  • Works to progress ADT daily via delivering measurable pipeline growth in the trucking and commercial segments.
  • Establishes a network of companies and contacts to become partners of the project.
  • Builds and manages top accounts in trucking, commercial and large employers, builds and moves a pipeline.
  • Becomes a trusted partner to companies based on analytics of fleet activity and ideas for cost reduction through route optimization and possible rebate programs.
  • Establishes processes and develops insightful analytics of companies activity related to their fleets.
  • Develops and monitors rebate programs with targets as needed.
  • Documents and develops best practices to be utilized across all UBP projects. Shares best practices formally and informally with the Operations Team.
  • Works independently with limited management supervision, while being able to collaborate effectively as a team player and jump in as needed to make the asset successful.
  • Travels to internal business meetings, as well as meetings with customers, vendors, or other clients, with the goal of 50 or more customer calls per week.
  • Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Exhibits a high level of analytical, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Excels in both written and oral communication.
  • Possesses customer relationship-building experience.
  • Has 3-5 years of prior industrial, trucking, transportation, and/or logistics sales experience; managing a territory or customer accounts is beneficial.
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and work schedule requirements.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively on multiple projects simultaneously with the capability to pivot with short notice, while working in a fast paced, flexible, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Fluent in “trucking” language business, and contacts.
  • Incentive-compensation sales oriented.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to commute to offices and work-related meetings reliably and on time.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

 
Additional Information

  • The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $110,000 based on location and will be commensurate with experience.
